Round 5 Complete

Round 5 in the hospital was pleasantly uneventful. But, again, the first week home was a little bit of a problem, with various stomach issues giving me some grief. But, by the second weekend home, things had turned around and I enjoyed a relatively problem free second week.

I start round 6 tomorrow, which will be the last treatment in this phase. That is exciting! I will have more scans (brain and PET/CT) during the 2 weeks that follow, and if all is clear then I will move to phase 2 of the treatment, which should be less intensive. More details on this new phase to come once I receive the scan results.

Thanks for all the cards, calls, and emails. If you ever wonder or doubt, they do make a big difference.
